Sean Hoar Speaks at NetDiligence Cyber Risk Summit in San Diego

Constangy Cyber Team chair Sean Hoar will speak at the NetDiligence Cyber Risk Summit, taking place May 19–20, 2026, in San Diego, California. The event brings together professionals across the cyber insurance, legal and regulatory, and technology sectors for a multi-day program focused on emerging issues in cyber risk and privacy liability.

The Cyber Risk Summit is NetDiligence’s premier education and networking event, convening a global community of leaders in cyber risk and privacy liability. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with peers and learn from industry leaders about current and evolving challenges in the rapidly changing cyber landscape.

Sean will join a panel titled “Threat Intelligence Updates from the NetDiligence Ransomware Advisory Board” on May 19 from 4:15 to 5:00 p.m. The session will provide insights from the advisory board and address developments in ransomware threat intelligence relevant to organizations navigating today’s cyber risk environment.

Sean Hoar is a partner in Constangy’s Portland office and serves as chair of the firm’s national Cyber Team. He has more than 25 years of experience advising on data privacy and information security matters. Sean previously served as a cyber attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, where he was the lead cyber attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Oregon and worked with the Computer Crime & Intellectual Property Section in Washington, D.C. He collaborated extensively with federal agencies, including the FBI and Secret Service, on complex cybercrime investigations and prosecutions and received the DOJ Director’s Award twice. Sean holds multiple cybersecurity and privacy certifications, including GISP, CISSP, and CIPP/US, and regularly assists clients in responding to data breaches and managing cyber risk.
