Taren Greenidge Named to Rochester Business Journal and The Daily Record's 2026 Power 50 Law List

The annual Power 50 Law List is curated by the editorial teams at Rochester Business Journal and The Daily Record based on prior reporting, peer nominations, and input from respected leaders throughout the Rochester legal community.
Based in Rochester, New York, Taren represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment law matters, including employment litigation, workplace investigations, and regulatory compliance. She defends employers against claims involving harassment, discrimination, wage and hour disputes, workers' compensation, leave and accommodation issues, and other complex workplace matters.
Taren has represented employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New York City Commission on Human Rights, and labor departments in New York and New Jersey. While she is based in Rochester, her practice extends across multiple jurisdictions, including Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Texas, and Tennessee.
In addition to her litigation practice, Taren counsels employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. She regularly advises organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies on workplace policies, employee training, internal investigations, and other proactive strategies designed to minimize legal risk and foster compliant workplaces.
Beyond her legal practice, Taren is a dedicated community leader. She founded Black Young Professionals (BYP), an auxiliary of the Urban League of Rochester that creates opportunities for young professionals of color to network, build meaningful connections, and engage in community service. Under her leadership, BYP has grown to more than 60 members and reaches more than 1,500 professionals throughout the Rochester area.
Taren also serves on the Board of Directors for the Urban League of Rochester, Dress for Success Rochester, the Women's Council of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, and the Sisters of St. Joseph Foundation. Her leadership both inside and outside the courtroom reflects her longstanding commitment to advancing the legal profession and strengthening the communities she serves.
