Overview

Alexander is a skilled litigator who represents employers in a wide range of employment matters, with a focus on defending businesses in complex litigation in both state and federal courts. He has experience handling class and collective actions, including matters under California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), as well as high-stakes single-plaintiff litigation involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour issues.

With over a decade of experience, Alexander has represented clients across diverse industries in cases involving the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Title VII, the California Labor Code, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), and Cal-OSHA. He routinely handles every stage of litigation—from internal investigations and discovery to depositions, dispositive motions, and settlement negotiations. Alexander also provides day-to-day counseling to employers on compliance, risk mitigation, and litigation prevention strategies.

Alexander’s litigation background includes extensive experience managing wage and hour class and PAGA actions, including complex data analysis and document review. He has overseen associate teams and provided mentorship throughout the litigation lifecycle. His experience also includes alternative dispute resolution, including representing clients in arbitration and securing favorable outcomes through mediation.

In addition to litigation, Alexander has advised clients on business operations and employment policies, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in his career, Alexander also handled business and real estate litigation, which provides him with a broad understanding of the legal and operational challenges facing employers.
