It is with deep sorrow that Constangy shares the news of the loss of our esteemed partner and dear friend, Penni Bradshaw. “Penni represented the very best of Constangy—sharp, principled, and deeply committed to the people she served,” said Neil Wasser, chair of the firm’s executive committee. “She was a pillar of our firm and of the immigration bar, known not just for her legal acumen but for her grace and generosity.”

For those of us who had the privilege of working alongside her, she was, simply put, a force. During her decades of practice at Constangy, Penni brought not only brilliance and dedication, but also compassion and a deep sense of purpose for the important immigration work she did for her clients.”

A Board-Certified Specialist in Immigration Law, Penni was widely recognized for her exceptional legal work. She was named to the “Hall of Fame” for Employment Law in North Carolina by Business North Carolina's "Legal Elite" in 2005. Her expertise in both immigration and employment Law earned her national recognition, including listings in The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers & Partners, and North Carolina Super Lawyers. Penni’s influence extended globally, with listings in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, and The International Who’s Who of Professional & Business Women.

In addition to her many accolades, Penni was a sought-after speaker, sharing her knowledge on immigration and employment law with prestigious organizations like the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and various state bar associations.

Penni earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and her law degree with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was recognized as a Morehead Fellow and served as Research Editor for the North Carolina Law Review. She was also inducted into the Order of the Coif, a prestigious national honor society for law graduates.

Beyond her remarkable legal career, Penni was a loving wife and devoted mother. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Penni’s family and to everyone whose life was brightened by her presence.
