Constangy Cyber Team vice chair Alyssa Watzman will speak at the Executive Women's Forum's Regional Event - '2024 In Review: Cyber Threats & Best Practices,'  held in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, June 26 from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. ET.

This event brings together leading cybersecurity professionals, legal advisors, and business leaders to explore current threats, best practices, and strategies for building organizational resilience in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. Alyssa will join the event's first panel - 'Anatomy of a Cyber Incident' - from 9:40 - 10:30 a.m. ET. This session will explore the lifecycle of a cyber incident—including common intrusion methods, security controls, and best practices for incident preparedness in the evolving cyber threat landscape.

Based in Constangy's Denver office, Alyssa serves as a vice chair of the Constangy Cyber Team. Alyssa has helped hundreds of clients respond to cyber incidents, proactively address data privacy and information security concerns, and navigate complex litigation and regulatory investigations. She also has substantial experience working with cyber insurance carriers and brokers. In managing responses to data security incidents, Alyssa frequently facilitates digital forensics investigations, network restoration projects, and ransom negotiations. She regularly assesses and helps clients to fulfill consumer and regulatory notification obligations, liaises with law enforcement, advises on communications strategies, and helps clients comply with applicable data privacy regulations. Alyssa is also a frequent featured speaker on cyber insurance, data privacy and security, and risk mitigation.
