Constangy is proud to sponsor the Association of Corporate Counsel’s (ACC) Annual Meeting for the 20th year. The annual meeting is Oct. 22-26 at Resort World in Las Vegas, NV.

Constangy partner Cara Crotty will present Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. on “Keeping DEI Legal: How to Lawfully Use Race and Gender in the Selection Process.” Crotty and her co-presenter, Dawn Blume from BP America, Inc., will review the legal landscape that employers promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) must navigate to ensure compliance with non-discrimination laws. Attendees will also explore how employers can lawfully implement race- and gender-conscious measures that do not violate equal employment opportunity principles.

Crotty advises employers on ways to avoid litigation and has defended employers in cases involving virtually every aspect of the employment relationship, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims and various other federal and state law claims. She also assists federal contractors in their affirmative action compliance obligations by assisting with AAP preparation, completing EEO-1 and VETS-4212 Reports, and defending OFCCP compliance evaluations. Crotty also prepares privileged compensation and pay equity analyses for organizations examining their pay practices and advises employers on DEI practices.
