Overview

Elizabeth is Senior Counsel who focuses her national practice on business immigration, helping companies navigate the complex process of securing employment-based visas and permanent residence for key talent.

She represents employers in obtaining nonimmigrant visas for foreign nationals in a variety of fields, including managers, executives, scientists, engineers, and other professions.  This includes E, H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, and other classifications. Elizabeth also works with several national medical practices, state health agencies, and interested government agencies to secure J-1 waivers for physicians (foreign medical graduates). Elizabeth partners with clients to plan strategically for their workforce needs, guiding them through the application process with clear, practical advice.

She also works with employers on immigrant visa categories such as EB-1 for extraordinary ability, outstanding professors and researchers, and multinational managers and executives, as well as EB-2 and for advanced degree professionals, National Interest Waivers (Exceptional Ability and Schedule A), Physician National Interest Waivers, and EB-2 skilled workers. In addition to corporate immigration, Elizabeth represents individual clients in family-based matters, naturalization, waivers of inadmissibility, and complex cases involving the immigration consequences of criminal violations. She has niche expertise in drafting and filing writing intensive petitions, motions, and legal memoranda with USCIS, Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and other appellate bodies.

Elizabeth regularly provides training and guidance to employers on immigration compliance and planning, helping them understand policy changes and minimize risk. She writes and speaks about evolving immigration policies, including the H-1B cap process, J-1 waivers for physicians, and employment authorization for foreign students. Elizabeth is fluent in Spanish, enabling her to communicate effectively with a diverse client base and support businesses in meeting their talent goals while maintaining compliance with U.S. immigration laws.

About Me

Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her three boys, often cheering them on from the sidelines of a soccer field or basketball court.  She is always searching for new restaurants to gain inspiration for her own home cooking experiments. She loves traveling and exploring new countries, which allows her to gain an appreciation for different foods, cultures, ways of life, and the diverse group of clients she serves.
