Sara Herbek brings nearly two decades of experience advising multinational employers on complex employment-based immigration matters, global mobility strategy, and workforce compliance. She is known for pairing strategic legal guidance with operational excellence, helping organizations align immigration programs with broader business objectives.
Sara has extensive experience representing employers in a full spectrum of employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant matters, including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, PERM labor certifications, and I-140 immigrant petitions. She advises clients on I-9 compliance, government audits, corporate restructurings, and immigration considerations in mergers and acquisitions. Throughout her career, she has partnered closely with HR and executive leadership teams to develop compliant, scalable immigration programs that support growth and talent acquisition.
Before joining Constangy, Sara directed legal service delivery and operations for a firm representing multinational corporations. Earlier in her career, she led a large labor and employment firm’s immigration group and practiced at several other well-respected firms, advising high-volume corporate clients on employment-based immigration strategy.
In addition to her client work, Sara has extensive experience in organizational design, workforce planning, and the development of immigration policies and service-level standards that enhance compliance and operational efficiency. She is a frequent mentor and leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and currently serves as a Director on the CAP Foundation Board of the College of American Pathologists.
