Constangy Welcomes New Attorneys Across Four Offices
Constangy is delighted to announce Brittany De Hoyos, Kim Detwiler, Colin Finnegan and Danielle Pierre. Detwiler and Pierre join the firm as senior counsel.
De Hoyos is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and is based in Dallas. She has extensive experience responding to data security incidents and applies her experience on a daily basis helping clients through the incident response process. As a member of our rapid response team, Brittany assists clients respond to a variety of cyberattacks including system intrusions, business email compromises, ransomware and other extortionate attacks. She also helps clients implement best practices in incident response, including deployment of appropriate security controls and compliance with state and federal, contractual, and industry-specific notification obligations.
Detwiler works as an incident response attorney in Constangy’s Philadelphia office. As a former Secret Service Supervisory Special Agent, Detwiler brings unique insights to the Constangy rapid response team. She assists clients in responding to a variety of types of cyber attacks, including wire fraud, business email compromises and ransomware attacks. Having conducted numerous complex financial fraud and cybercrime investigations in which she worked directly with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), Detwiler understands the sophisticated financial threats facing businesses. Having prepared threat assessments for the President and Vice President of the United States, and as a former member of the National Security Council, she has a thorough knowledge of the malicious criminal networks and nation-state actors that continuously attack business and governmental systems.
Finnegan is a labor and employment attorney with experience in litigation and traditional labor matters based in Constangy’s Kansas City office. He zealously defends employers in claims involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Titles III and VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska state discrimination laws, and other related claims. Finnegan's experience includes handling all aspects of litigation from the investigation phase through trial. He works with employers to create and implement a practical and effective strategy depending on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. In his practice, Finnegan also counsels clients in traditional labor matters, including union organizing campaigns, unfair labor practice charges, and union awareness training. Using his extensive knowledge of state and federal labor and employment laws, Finnegan routinely counsels employers on hiring and firing, drug testing, employment policies and handbooks, and proactive strategies for litigation avoidance.
Pierre is a litigator with substantial experience representing employers across a range of industries and sectors in state and federal courts, as well as administrative bodies. She has defended clients in a range of labor and employment claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and employment contract disputes. Her background also includes guiding companies through position statements, pleadings, offensive and defensive motions and briefings, audits and investigations, mediations, trial preparation, and labor arbitrations. Pierre is well-versed in numerous state and federal employment regulations, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the ADA, FMLA, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), and their state and local counterparts. She also drafts personnel policies and procedures and advises on non-compete laws, employee terminations, labor and employment disputes, DE&I and affirmative action strategies, and conducts workplace investigations and compliance audits. Pierre works in the firm’s Northern New Jersey office.
