Teresa is both a mediator, a relationship partner for her corporate clients in the employment defense space, and for either role, a very practical "problem solver." She is constantly trying to figure out how to connect her clients to resources that can make their job easier, help them navigate through tricky employment litigation and HR issues, as well as connecting them to the excellent attorneys at Constangy throughout the U.S.  In her 25+ years of practice as a defense-side employment litigation attorney (all years at Constangy), she has litigated cases and counseled clients on almost every conceivable employment-related issue.

Lara is an experienced trial lawyer and client advocate. Her extensive career has involved representing companies of all sizes, across many industries, in all aspects of employment law. Lara has successfully defended clients in the courtroom, before administrative agencies, and on appeal. In addition to litigation, Lara has spent her two-plus decades of experience partnering with clients to counsel them through complex issues involving discrimination, retaliation, accommodation, and wage and hour compliance. Lara has also developed a passion for guiding clients through high-stakes matters involving pay equity, harassment, leave of absence and accommodations. Lara has had the distinct experience of working as in-house counsel for two large, multi-national corporations, which gives her a unique perspective on how to address the intricate issues facing organizations and their employees.

Maureen is an experienced litigator who co-chairs the firm’s Class Action Practice Group. Maureen devotes a very substantial amount of her practice to wage and hour issues, including preventive consultation, internal audits, government investigations, and defense of wage and hour litigation, almost all of which include class- or collective- action claims.  Maureen's wage and hour litigation experience includes cases involving state and federal minimum wage and overtime violations, stemming from alleged off-the-clock work, deletion of hours, exemption misclassification and improperly-applied tip credits. She has counseled clients on these and other wage and hour issues, such as white-collar exemptions, tip pooling/sharing, break requirements, child-labor issues, payroll frequency and methods, salary deductions, and compensability of time.  Maureen is a regular speaker and author on wage and hour compliance issues to human-resource professionals and in-house counsel.

Kim, a managing partner with Constangy, focuses her practice on helping employers proactively address workplace manners.  Kim believes that the best way to minimize litigation in the workplace is to address issues before they become problems and helps her clients achieve this through assisting in the development of workplace policies, investigation procedures and training materials, preparing employee handbooks and procedure manuals, conducting training for management, supervisors, and employees on workplace conduct, and advising on problem employees.  When litigation arises, however, Kim represents clients before federal and state agencies as well as in the state and federal courts of Missouri and Kansas. Kim also works with employers to develop strategies for addressing union issues, including running union avoidance campaigns, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and administering labor contracts.  She represents clients in arbitrations of union grievances and in litigation before the National Labor Relations Board.
