Nia Doaks Named to The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40

National labor and employment law firm Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP is proud to announce Nia Doaks has been named to The National Black Lawyers "Top 40 Under 40" list for 2023.

“Top 40 Under 40” honorees are selected on the basis of reputation, notable achievements, settlements, and verdicts, nominations from leading lawyers, current members and Executive Committee members, membership in national and state specialty lawyer organizations, and rankings from national organizations.

The National Black Lawyers is a professional organization that celebrates legal excellence and promotes  attorneys as subject-matter experts, facilitates the exchange of timely information to enable members to maintain their status as leaders, and represents a strong national network of top African American attorneys. 

Nia has experience counseling businesses on a variety of labor and employment law matters under federal and state law and representing clients in litigation and proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other administrative agencies. Nia has been involved in litigation and administrative proceedings involving all aspects of Title VII, wage and hour issues, retaliatory discharge, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and various state law claims. Nia also has vast experience conducting internal workplace investigations covering policy violations such as sexual harassment and discrimination as well as representing clients in grievance and arbitration proceedings. She has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® "Ones to Watch" for Labor and Employment Law - Management (2024).
