Amanda Novak and Aubrey Weaver Present at ACC New Jersey Program on Enterprise AI Risk

Constangy senior counsel Amanda Novak and partner Aubrey Weaver will present at the Association of Corporate Counsel New Jersey Chapter’s “Controlling AI Risk at the Enterprise Level: A Tabletop for Senior Legal Advisors: Part Two” on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at The Grain House in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The second program in the series builds on the AI governance framework explored in Part One, while welcoming legal advisors who did not attend the first program. Participants will examine technical failure points in AI deployment, secure deployment practices, data exposure incidents, vendor and stakeholder communications, and multistate regulatory notification, litigation hold, and privilege preservation considerations.

During the program, Amanda and Aubrey will explore the architecture decisions, data handling practices, access controls, and vendor dependencies that can affect an AI system before it reaches production. The session will also address responses to AI-related information security incidents, including recognizing and coordinating early signs of a potential data exposure incident before the root cause is known.

Participants will work through a live incident scenario and consider decisions involving containment, root-cause investigation, liability, disclosure obligations, and long-term institutional credibility. The tabletop format will allow participants to examine how legal advisors can respond to an AI-related information security incident as it unfolds.

Amanda is senior counsel and a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and serves as co-chair of the firm’s Artificial Intelligence Practice. She advises clients on state, federal, and international privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence laws and regulations and helps organizations develop and implement AI governance and privacy compliance programs. Amanda has also assisted clients in responding to hundreds of data privacy and security incidents, including digital forensic investigations, threat actor communications, network restoration projects, and consumer notification and regulatory reporting obligations. She holds CIPP/US, CIPP/E, AIGP, and FIP credentials through the International Association of Privacy Professionals and regularly writes and speaks on privacy, data protection, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

Aubrey is a partner in Constangy’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practice and is based in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Her practice focuses on cybersecurity and data privacy matters, and she is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team. Aubrey regularly contributes to discussions and programs involving cybersecurity, data privacy, and artificial intelligence, including presentations addressing emerging cyber and AI-related risks.
