Chris Deubert Speaks on Sports Law at ABA International Labor and Employment Law Committee Midyear Meeting
Constangy senior counsel Chris Deubert will speak at the 2026 International Labor and Employment Law Committee Midyear Meeting, hosted by the American Bar Association, taking place May 3–7, 2026, in Prague, Czech Republic.
The Midyear Meeting will feature presentations from panelists representing management, union, and government perspectives on emerging and complex issues in international labor and employment law. The program will address a wide range of timely topics, including union organizing and labor movement trends, global employment law updates, and the legal implications of cross-border work and entertainment production.
Chris will join a panel titled “Labor and Employment Law Issues in Global Professional Sports” from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6. The session will examine key labor and employment considerations affecting the global professional sports industry.
Chris Deubert is a senior counsel at Constangy, focusing his practice on labor and employment, litigation, and sports law. He advises businesses on a wide range of matters, including discrimination claims, wage and hour issues, class actions, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, data privacy, trade secrets, and internal investigations. Chris also represents clients across the sports industry, including teams, leagues, and athletes, on issues spanning litigation, compliance, governance, and transactional matters. He previously served as General Counsel for D.C. United, where he oversaw legal, human resources, and operational functions, and has held in-house and private practice roles handling complex employment and commercial disputes.
