Constangy Welcomes New Attorneys to Dallas, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. Offices
Constangy is pleased to announce the addition of three new attorneys—Taylor Brisco, José Pomposo Barajas, and Jordan Smith—expanding the firm’s national Cybersecurity & Data Privacy and Employment Litigation teams.
Meet the New Attorneys
Taylor Brisco – Dallas Office, Cyber Team
Taylor joins the Constangy Cyber Team, where she defends companies in class action litigation arising from data privacy and security incidents. Based in Dallas, she brings more than four years of litigation experience, including complex commercial litigation and insurance defense. Taylor previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, where she investigated and prosecuted a variety of criminal matters.
She earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School, where she was Editor in Chief of the Marquette Sports Law Review; her Master of Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law; and her B.S. in Journalism, summa cum laude, from St. John’s University. Taylor is admitted to practice in New York, Wisconsin, and Texas, including the U.S. District Courts for all federal districts of Texas. Before practicing law, she worked as a journalist for SiriusXM NFL Radio, the American Heart Association, and The Dallas Morning News.
José Pomposo Barajas – Los Angeles Office
José joins the firm’s Employment Litigation practice with a strong background representing employers in high-stakes workplace disputes, including wage and hour class actions, PAGA representative matters, and claims involving discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination. He has handled all phases of litigation—ranging from drafting and arguing motions such as petitions to compel arbitration, to overseeing discovery, preparing cases for mediation and arbitration, and conducting internal investigations into workplace misconduct.
Before joining Constangy, José practiced at boutique and global law firms in Los Angeles, where he defended mid-sized and large employers across industries. His background also includes supporting commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters and serving on the trial team for a multi-million-dollar enforcement action. José earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, completed international legal studies in Copenhagen and Lund, and received his B.A. from the University of California, San Diego. He is admitted to practice in California and the U.S. District Court for the Central and Northern Districts of California, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central and Northern Districts of California.
Jordan Smith – Washington, D.C. Office, Cyber Team
Jordan joins the Constangy Cyber Team in Washington, D.C., where she focuses on cyber litigation and defends clients in class action matters stemming from data privacy and security incidents. She brings significant experience in complex litigation, regulatory issues, and data breach liability from her work at leading international law firms. Jordan previously clerked for the Honorable Judge Raymond Gruender of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and practiced with a boutique firm in Washington, D.C., concentrating on administrative and regulatory law. Her scholarship on global privacy regulation and online content governance has been published in the Pepperdine Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship & Law and the Virginia Journal of International Law.
She earned her LL.M. from New York University School of Law, her J.D. from Stanford Law School—where she served as Senior Editor of the Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance—and her B.A. in English Language and Literature, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University. Jordan is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/US and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/US and CIPP/E) and is admitted to practice in California and the District of Columbia.
