Constangy Expands Cyber Team with Three Attorneys
Constangy is pleased to announce the addition of Cameron Benavides and Vikas Bowry to its Cyber Team and to welcome back Alyssa Pearce.
Cameron Benavides – Denver, Colorado
Cameron advises clients on preparing for and responding to complex data security incidents. He works closely with forensic experts, coordinates breach response strategies, and helps organizations navigate regulatory and consumer notification requirements. As a member of Constangy’s rapid response team, he provides practical, timely counsel to organizations dealing with ransomware, business email compromise, and other cybersecurity threats.
Cameron brings a strong foundation in privacy law and litigation. He previously supported investigations and enforcement actions as a law clerk for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and gained in-house privacy compliance experience with a major airline. He is well-versed in key data privacy frameworks, including the GDPR, CCPA, and Colorado Privacy Act (CPA). Earlier in his career, Cameron served as a Deputy State Public Defender in Colorado, trying more than 30 jury cases and successfully obtaining a grant of certiorari before the Colorado Supreme Court.
Cameron earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School, where he served as Articles Editor for the Colorado Technology Law Journal. While in law school, his work contributed to an FCC rule change improving accessibility for incarcerated individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. He holds a B.A., cum laude, in International Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas and is admitted to practice in Colorado.
Vikas Bowry – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Vikas advises organizations on every stage of data privacy and security events—from incident investigation to regulatory response. He guides clients through matters involving ransomware, business email compromise, and other cybercrime, working closely with internal teams, external vendors, and law enforcement. Vikas also helps organizations comply with complex reporting requirements under state, federal, international, and industry-specific regulations.
In addition to his incident response work, Vikas represents companies in regulatory investigations led by state attorneys general and federal agencies. Before joining Constangy, he provided incident response services at a dedicated data privacy and cybersecurity firm and built over five years of investigative and civil litigation experience. Vikas previously served as an Assistant City Solicitor with the City of Philadelphia Law Department and as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas (Civil and Criminal divisions).
Vikas earned his Juris Doctor, with Pro Bono Distinction, from Widener University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Alyssa Pearce – Raleigh, North Carolina
Returning to Constangy’s Cyber Team, Alyssa advises organizations on privacy and security compliance, risk management, and data governance. She assists clients with policy development, HIPAA and CCPA compliance, and strategic planning for data privacy programs. Alyssa also provides end-to-end support in responding to data security incidents—from coordinating forensic investigations to assessing legal obligations and overseeing consumer and regulatory notifications.
While earning her J.D. at William & Mary Law School, Alyssa concentrated on the intersection of privacy, security, and business. She gained hands-on experience through an internship with a major technology company, a fellowship with the Center for Legal & Court Technology, and by mentoring undergraduate teams designing innovative cybersecurity solutions.
