Constangy Expands National Team with Additions in Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia

Constangy is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its national team with the addition of Aaron Davis in Boston, Reginald Lys in Chicago, and Ashley Waring in Philadelphia, as well as the return of Brett Swanson to the firm’s Philadelphia office. These additions further strengthen the firm’s services in cybersecurity, data privacy, and labor and employment law.

Aaron Davis Joins Constangy’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Practice in Boston

Aaron has joined the Constangy Cyber Team in the firm’s Boston office. He advises clients on cybersecurity incident response, privacy compliance, and investigations involving data privacy and security matters.

Before joining Constangy, Aaron served in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, most recently as an Assistant Attorney General in the Data Privacy & Security Division. In that role, he led investigations and litigation involving alleged privacy and cybersecurity violations and worked on legislative and policy initiatives related to data protection. Aaron also brings private practice experience in technology and intellectual property law, including contract negotiation, trademark protection, and licensing.

Aaron earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he was Communications Chair of the Student Bar Association. He holds a Bachelor of Music, magna cum laude, from Berklee College of Music.

Reginald Lys Joins Labor & Employment Practice in Chicago

Reginald has joined Constangy’s Chicago office, where he represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters. His practice includes defending clients in cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination in both federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies.

Reginald also provides day-to-day counsel to employers on workplace policies, employee discipline, compliance with local and federal laws, and internal investigations. He is experienced in all phases of litigation, including drafting dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, and managing discovery. He has appeared before agencies such as the EEOC, IDHR, and HUD, and has successfully negotiated resolutions in both employment and housing-related matters.

He previously clerked for the Honorable E. Kenneth Wright Jr. of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Reginald earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was active on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and served as an editor for the Employee Rights & Employment Policy Journal. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts.

Brett Swanson Rejoins Constangy’s Cyber Team in Philadelphia

Brett has rejoined Constangy as a member of the firm’s Cyber Team in the Philadelphia office. She focuses her practice on cybersecurity incident response, working closely with forensic investigators, threat actor negotiators, and regulatory compliance professionals to guide clients through data security events.

Her work includes supporting clients during network intrusions, business email compromises, ransomware incidents, and other forms of cyberattacks. Brett also advises clients on privacy law compliance, implementation of cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory notification obligations under state, federal, and industry-specific frameworks. She brings particular experience with education institutions and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), informed by prior service as an attorney with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.

Prior to joining Constangy, Brett provided incident response services at another national law firm, where she facilitated digital forensics coordination and regulatory compliance efforts. She earned her J.D. from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law and her B.A. in American Studies from George Washington University. Brett is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

Ashley Waring Joins Constangy’s Cyber Team in Philadelphia

Ashley is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team based in Philadelphia. Drawing on extensive experience responding to data privacy and security events, she guides clients through every stage of the incident response lifecycle—from forensic coordination to regulatory communications and mitigation strategies.

Ashley has worked with a diverse portfolio of clients, including healthcare providers, financial institutions, engineering firms, government entities, and educational institutions. She also counsels on proactive cybersecurity measures and brings a strong litigation background, representing employers and insurers across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Ashley earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of Barristers and Pro Bono Honor Society. During law school, she served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board, President of the Black Law Students Association, and Articles Editor for the Wake Forest Journal of Law and Policy. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Rowan University, where she earned numerous academic honors and was a Rowan Scholar-Athlete as a guard on the women’s basketball team.

She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
