David Smith is a partner in Constangy’s Atlanta office with more than 30 years of experience counseling employers nationwide on federal and state occupational safety and health requirements. He advises clients on OSHA compliance strategies and works closely with companies to develop practical safety programs that reduce risk while supporting operational goals. David also regularly represents employers during federal and state OSHA investigations involving serious injuries, workplace hazard complaints, and retaliation allegations under OSHA-enforced whistleblower laws, and he defends clients in citation and enforcement matters. A frequent speaker and trainer on OSHA topics, David serves on the board that organizes the annual Georgia Safety Conference, supports the Transportation Lawyers Association, contributes as a chapter author to the American Bar Association’s Occupational Safety and Health Law publication, and writes extensively on OSHA developments.
