David Smith Presents at ATA Litigation Center's 2026 Trucking Legal Forum
Constangy partner David Smith will present at the ATA Litigation Center's 2026 Trucking Legal Forum, taking place August 2–4, 2026, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. Hosted by the American Trucking Associations' Litigation Center, the conference brings together transportation attorneys and industry professionals to examine the legal and regulatory issues affecting the trucking industry.
The Trucking Legal Forum offers practical educational programming on current legal, regulatory, and compliance issues impacting motor carriers and the attorneys who represent them. The conference provides opportunities for attendees to stay informed on emerging developments while connecting with peers from across the transportation industry.
David's session, "OSHA Law Basics for Trucking Attorneys," will take place on Tuesday, August 4, from 9:15–10:15 a.m. The presentation will provide an overview of OSHA law fundamentals for attorneys who advise trucking industry employers, covering key concepts and practical considerations relevant to workplace safety compliance.

David Smith is a partner in Constangy's Atlanta office and a member of the firm's Workplace Safety & OSHA Practice Group. He exclusively represents employers in occupational safety and health matters, counseling clients on OSHA inspections, enforcement actions, compliance, recordkeeping, and litigation before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. David regularly advises employers across a wide range of industries on complex workplace safety issues and frequently speaks and writes on OSHA-related topics. Before joining Constangy, he served as a trial attorney with the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, giving him valuable insight into OSHA enforcement and administrative litigation.
