In the News: Amanda Novak Co-Authors Quorum Cyber Article on Protecting Organizational Trust in the Age of AI
Constangy Cyber Team member Amanda Novak recently co-authored a Quorum Cyber article, “How Organizations Can Protect Trust in the Age of AI,” examining how artificial intelligence is reshaping cybersecurity risks and organizational resilience.
The article discusses how threat actors are using AI to accelerate reconnaissance, enhance social engineering and automate elements of cyberattacks, while also highlighting the growing risks associated with deepfakes, synthetic media, supply-chain disruptions, misinformation and attacks on trusted identities.
The authors outline steps organizations can take to prepare for these evolving risks, including integrating legal, communications, technology and operational teams into a coordinated resilience framework; regularly testing incident response plans; strengthening identity and data security controls; and preparing for scenarios involving executive impersonation, AI-generated misinformation and supplier compromise.
The article emphasizes that as AI continues to transform the cyber threat landscape, protecting organizational trust will become increasingly important alongside protecting systems and data.
