Tom, a seasoned litigation attorney renowned for his steadfast commitment to advocating for employers, possesses a wealth of experience spanning multiple facets of employment law. He has extensive experience in Cal/OSHA compliance, wage-hour class actions, trade secret litigation, PAGA, single plaintiff discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of contract, unfair competition, and various other business torts.

Beyond his litigation skills, Tom offers invaluable guidance to employers on diverse employment issues and enjoys strategizing to best position clients to achieve their end goals. His attentive and timely approach ensures that clients are well-informed and prepared to navigate any challenges that may arise.

Tom also possesses an extensive background in Cal/OSHA compliance, having previously served as legal counsel for the Cal/OSHA Appeals Board. His insider knowledge of California's OSHA laws and compliance requirements enables him to provide tailored and practical advice that meets each client's unique needs. Tom is passionate about assisting companies with their health and safety plans, and when OSHA litigation does ensue, he is a sought-after advocate throughout the inspection, appeal, and hearing process. Tom has a proven track record of successfully defending companies against Serious and fatality-related citations and securing judgment in favor of clients after multi-day hearings. Outside of the courtroom, Tom is a highly effective negotiator and has successfully worked with both Cal/OSHA and Fed/OSHA to achieve favorable settlements on behalf of clients.

Prior to attending law school, Tom was an officer in the U.S. Navy and served on both destroyers and aircraft carriers. He is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) and completed Navy Nuclear Power School and pipeline training en route to his engineer tour onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72).
