Overview
Alex advises employers on a range of litigation and compliance matters, with experience handling complex wage and hour disputes and class and representative actions in state and federal courts, and in arbitration.
Alex’s practice includes representing employers in class, collective, and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) matters, where he has managed all phases of litigation—from early case assessment through mediation and resolution. He has drafted and argued dispositive and procedural motions, including motions to compel arbitration, motions to dismiss, and class certification briefing, and has successfully taken and defended depositions of fact and corporate witnesses. Alex also has significant experience preparing mediation strategies and negotiating settlements, including matters involving seven-figure resolutions.
In addition to his litigation work, Alex regularly analyzes employment policies, arbitration agreements, and pay practices to identify risk and develop effective defense strategies. He has researched and developed legal arguments across dozens of matters involving California wage and hour law, providing strategic insight grounded in statutory and case law analysis.
About Me
When not advocating for his clients, Alex can be found traveling, eating sushi with his wife, spending time with their beloved cat, or on an ice-skating rink. Alex is also an avid fan of hockey, baseball, and mixed martial arts.
