Overview
Hunter is a trusted litigator and counselor who represents employers in labor and employment matters across the country. Based in Dallas, he also leads Constangy’s Dallas office and is an equity partner of the firm.
In addition to handling litigation and counseling, Hunter serves as a relationship partner for national corporate clients and insurers, ensuring they are connected with the right attorneys for their specific needs.
Hunter has represented management in all phases of employment litigation in both federal and state courts. He defends employers in individual, class, and collective actions involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, whistleblower claims, and leave-related matters under state and federal laws. Hunter has substantial experience with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). His work includes defending nationwide collective actions and EEOC investigations, as well as guiding clients through complex matters involving employee background checks and pay equity.
Hunter regularly advises employers on the enforcement and defense of non-competition, non-solicitation, trade secret, and confidentiality agreements. His experience as a trial attorney gives him valuable perspective when drafting policies and agreements designed to reduce legal risk and prevent workplace disputes. Hunter also provides training and day-to-day counseling to help employers navigate evolving workplace challenges and minimize potential liabilities.
