Overview
Rachael represents employers in a wide range of employment litigation and counseling matters.
Rachael’s practice includes defending employers against discrimination claims before administrative agencies, federal and state courts, and alternative dispute resolution forums. She has substantial experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, and expert testimony. Beyond litigation, Rachael provides advice on policies and procedures related to the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, EEO, separation, termination, and discipline. She also has experience conducting independent investigations for municipal governments related to employment discrimination and retaliation.
Before joining Constangy, Rachael handled complex commercial litigation matters involving employment issues, trade secrets, consumer protection, and contract disputes. She regularly managed cases from inception through resolution, drafted pleadings and briefs, and argued motions in court. Her representative experience includes serving as second chair in a bench trial resulting in a favorable verdict for a large insurance company, obtaining injunctive relief in multiple actions, and securing dismissal of claims through dispositive motion practice.
During law school, Rachael served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Allison D. Burroughs of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and a legal intern with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, where she gained experience in litigation strategy, legal research, and courtroom advocacy.
About Me
Outside of the office, Rachael enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, baking, traveling, and crafting. The newest member of her family, a golden retriever named Brooklyn, often makes guest appearances on virtual meetings.
