Madison Balasek

Madison is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team based in San Francisco. Madison focuses her practice on data privacy compliance and cybersecurity risk management, advising clients on a range of privacy and data protection issues, including cross-border data transfers, privacy policies, incident response, and emerging U.S. state consumer privacy laws. Madison is well-versed in key domestic and international privacy frameworks, including the CCPA/CPRA, EU/UK GDPR, LGPD, and Swiss FADP.

Prior to joining Constangy, Madison advised healthcare and life sciences clients on privacy compliance, including drafting and negotiating privacy policies and data protection terms in healthcare agreements and performing privacy risk assessments and incident response evaluations.

Madison holds a Juris Doctor with a Corporate Law concentration from Loyola Law School, where she served as Senior Research Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles International & Comparative Law Review. She also served as a student attorney for the Loyola Genocide Justice Clinic, where she represented clients pursuing justice for international human rights violations. Madison received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science with an International Relations concentration, cum laude, from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Madison also holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional for United States laws (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Madison is based in San Francisco and is admitted to practice in California.
