Constangy attorneys Matt Clark and Keya Denner presented at the New Jersey Truck Association’s Fall Educational Forum on Nov. 30 at Pines Manor in Edison, NJ.

The presentation, “Cannabis in the Workplace – November 2022 Update,” provided employers with information on the latest updates on cannabis laws pertaining to the workplace.

Clark focuses his practice on representing and advising management clients in complex labor relations and employment law matters. He has a range of experience defending clients on claims alleging wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage & hour violations, filed in both federal and state courts. Clark provides preventive guidance to help employers avoid public disputes in the courtroom and gives prompt and effective advice on issues including internal investigations, dispute resolution, workplace policy development and implementation, internal and agency audits, employee benefits, and discipline and discharge matters in both private and unionized workplaces.

Denner is an experienced litigator who has been practicing labor and employment law for almost 20 years. Few attorneys nationwide match his expertise in the area of legal cannabis and its impact on the workplace. At his previous firms, Denner founded and chaired cannabis law practice groups, and has a deep understanding of the various laws and issues surrounding the country’s rapidly expanding legal cannabis industry. He has counseled Fortune 500 companies in the retail, hospitality, and global logistics spaces to create compliant policies and better understand the ever-changing legal landscape brought about by the legalization of cannabis across the United States. Denner is a sought-after speaker and trainer on this topic.
