Overview
Jason is a seasoned litigator who represents employers in federal and state wage and hour disputes across the country.
His practice focuses on defending employers in minimum wage and overtime claims, including class and collective actions. Jason has significant experience with a broad range of wage and hour issues, including off-the-clock work, employee misclassification, and other complex compensation matters.
Jason’s background provides him with valuable perspective in navigating wage and hour litigation. Before joining Constangy, he worked for a national plaintiff-side law firm, giving him insight into the strategies and tactics commonly used by opposing counsel. Jason leverages this knowledge to help clients anticipate and respond to litigation risks. He is also a certified mediator and draws on this experience to help employers find creative, practical resolutions both inside and outside the courtroom.
In addition to his litigation practice, Jason serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where he teaches “Writing in Law Practice: Fair Labor Standards Act Pretrial Litigation.” His work as an educator reflects his deep understanding of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and his commitment to advancing best practices in wage and hour compliance and litigation strategy.
