Overview

Julie advises employers on a broad range of employment law matters, including workplace compliance, employee relations, internal investigations, wage and hour issues, reductions in force, disability accommodations, leave management, and employment litigation strategy.

Julie brings more than a decade of experience counseling multinational and domestic employers across the technology, retail, healthcare, transportation, hospitality, and service industries. She regularly advises human resources professionals and executive leadership on employment policies and practices, workforce restructuring, pay equity and transparency, worker classification, executive separations, and compliance with evolving federal, state, and international employment laws.

Before joining Constangy, Julie served as senior employment counsel for a global technology company, where she advised on employment practices and compliance matters across North America, EMEA, and APAC, including issues involving GDPR, global privacy laws, AI implementation, workforce reductions, and cross-border employment practices. She collaborated closely with HR, ethics, and executive leadership teams on internal investigations, accommodations, employment disputes, and governance matters involving global workforces and technology operations.

Julie also has extensive experience representing management-side employers in employment litigation, agency proceedings, arbitrations, and class and representative actions. Her practice has included defending wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims; handling PAGA and class action matters; and advising employers on handbooks, workplace policies, severance agreements, and compliance initiatives. Earlier in her career, she represented employers in employment litigation and employment practices liability matters in both California and New York, advising clients on workplace compliance issues and litigation risk management.
