Matt Toldero is a partner and member of the Constangy Cyber Team and is affiliated with our Winston-Salem, North Carolina office.
He brings over ten years of combined incident response and risk management experience to his role on our Rapid Response Team. During the seven years prior to joining the Constangy Cyber Team, Matt worked at a boutique incident response firm. In his career Matt has responded to over 1,000 security incidents. The incidents crossed the spectrum of business sectors and ranged in complexity from small business email compromises to network intrusions affecting millions of consumers. Matt’s extensive incident response experience has informed his subject matter expertise with various state, federal and international data privacy and security laws including state data privacy legislation, state data breach notification laws, FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA, CCPA and the GDPR. Matt applies his expertise every day in assisting clients with ransomware attacks, business email compromises and wire transfer fraud. His risk management experience provides him unique insights in managing third party liability to mitigate the risk of economic harm to our clients.
Matt earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law, where he was recognized for Excellence in Litigation through the North Carolina Advocates for Justice Award. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Political Science from Washington & Jefferson College and is admitted to practice in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
About Me
When not responding to cyber events, Matt can be found spending time with his kids, coaching in the local baseball league or supporting the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He is also a recreational runner who enjoys races from 5k through the marathon. To decompress from work, he enjoys walking his dog, Winnie, while listening to audio books, all too often, relistening to Sherlock Holmes.
