Overview
Suzie is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and is located in New York. She works with clients in responding to data security incidents and other privacy matters.
Before coming to a law firm, Suzie worked for Leidos as a contractor for the Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights. There, she investigated and advised HIPAA covered-entitles in response to complaints made by the public and incidents where protected health information was compromised as a result of a data security incident. Suzie’s background provides unique insight to assessing clients’ regulatory obligations and responding to inquiries from regulators or other government agencies.
Suzie earned her J.D. at New York Law School where she was a Fellow for the Center for Law and Technology and focused on analyzing the evolution of privacy discourse and the ethical use of smart technologies by city municipalities. While in law school, Suzie also interned with the Future of Privacy Forum and was the lead author on a published blog post that reviewed the framework of the Quayside smart city project in Toronto. She also received a certificate in Privacy Law from New York Law School and holds a CIPP/US credential.
