Overview
Vikas is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a member of the Cyber Team, Vikas advises organizations on navigating all stages of data privacy and security events.
In doing so, Vikas guides clients through investigations involving ransomware, business email compromises, and various other types of cybercrime, coordinating response efforts with internal and external teams as well as law enforcement. He also advises clients regarding compliance with state, federal, international, and industry-specific reporting obligations.
In addition to incident response, Vikas represents organizations facing regulatory investigations following data privacy and security events. His experience includes investigations led by state attorneys general as well as federal regulatory bodies.
Prior to joining the Constangy Cyber Team, Vikas provided incident response services at another data privacy and cybersecurity firm. Vikas also has over five years of investigative and civil litigation experience, having handled products liability, premises liability, and negligent security matters. Before his private practice, Vikas was an Assistant City Solicitor with the City of Philadelphia Law Department and a Judicial Law Clerk in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas - in both the Civil and Criminal divisions.
Vikas earned his Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law with Pro Bono Distinction and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. Vikas is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
