Leen named new OFCCP Director

From acting to actual director.

Craig Leen has officially been named Director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, ending his five-month stint as acting director. Mr. Leen took on the acting role after the resignation in July 2018 of former Director Ondray Harris.

Mr. Leen’s time at the helm of the OFCCP has been busy, as we have seen the issuance of 10 new agency Directives dealing with such topics as compensation analyses, transparency, federal contractor awards, and early resolution programs.

Shortly after the announcement of Mr. Leen’s appointment to Director, the OFCCP sent an email to its subscribers touting the agency’s recent accomplishments:

  • Remedying employment discrimination
  • Renewing contractor compliance assistance
  • Increasing transparency
  • Providing certainty
  • Enhancing efficiency
  • Seeking recognition for high performing federal contractors

We expect 2019 to be another eventful year for the OFCCP as it implements these various Directives and conducts more compliance evaluations. Stay tuned for future developments!
