Overview

Lynda is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and is affiliated with our Boston, Massachusetts office. She is a seasoned cybersecurity and data privacy attorney with over 12 years of experience advising clients on incident response, privacy compliance, and information governance matters. Lynda guides clients through the full lifecycle of cyber incidents, from initial detection and investigation to internal and external communications, to assessment of consumer, regulatory, contractual, and industry notifications. She also interfaces with law enforcement and regulators as necessary to protect client interests. Her experience spans multiple sectors, including education, financial services, healthcare, insurance, and life sciences industries.

Before joining the Constangy Cyber Team, Lynda managed responses to data security incidents and counseled clients on corporate transactions and readiness strategies, including: developing incident response plans, internal and external privacy policies and procedures, and data mapping strategies; developing and delivering employee training; and performing privacy and cybersecurity due diligence in M&A transactions. For almost six years, she worked for a national insurance carrier where her efforts spanned Managing and Technical Director and Counsel roles. She crafted and advised on the legal implication of policy language and directed a team of cyber claims professionals adjusting complex claims under cyber, commercial crime, financial institution products, and kidnap and ransom policies. Lynda also has more than 10 years of litigation experience, which provides her unique insight into third-party liability. She has regularly been a featured speaker to industry and legal audiences, providing insights on cyber threats, ransomware response, and insurance considerations related to cyber and commercial crime policies, as well as financial institution bonds.

Lynda earned her Juris Doctor with academic distinction from Suffolk University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with an emphasis in Econometrics, from the University of California, San Diego. She also completed a judicial clerkship with the Massachusetts Superior Courts.
