Overview

Nia has experience counseling businesses on a variety of labor and employment law matters under federal and state law and representing clients in litigation and proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other administrative agencies. Nia has been involved in litigation and administrative proceedings involving all aspects of Title VII, wage and hour issues, retaliatory discharge, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and various state law claims. Nia also has vast experience conducting internal workplace investigations covering policy violations such as sexual harassment and discrimination as well as representing clients in grievance and arbitration proceedings.

In addition to her labor and employment law practice, prior to joining Constangy, Nia oversaw a business immigration practice and counseled employers on immigration law issues as well as filed immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions.
