Overview
Matthew is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and is based in Warren, New Jersey. He assists clients in responding to a wide range of cyberattacks, working closely with them to manage critical incidents and meet complex notification requirements.
As part of the rapid response team, Matthew guides clients through ransomware attacks, business email compromises, and other forms of cybercrime. He coordinates digital forensics, network restoration, and other resources to contain and remediate incidents. Matthew also helps clients comply with state, federal, and contractual obligations related to consumer and regulatory notifications.
Before joining Constangy, Matthew provided incident response services at another law firm. Earlier, he served as a Senior Cyber Claims Examiner for a cyber insurance carrier, helping insureds handle ransomware, business email compromises, and inadvertent data disclosures. His combined experience in cyber insurance and incident response gives clients practical support during high-stakes situations.
Matthew earned his J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School, where he was a Dean’s Scholar and active in the Privacy Law Association. While there, he also gained experience drafting analyses on privacy legislation and reviewing privacy policies for CCPA compliance. He holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Monmouth University and the CIPP/US certification.
