Overview

Jonathan heads Constangy’s Macon, Georgia office and represents employers in employment discrimination litigation and traditional labor matters.

He defends corporations in lawsuits involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as well as related state laws. Jonathan also advises employers on union-related matters under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and handles wage and hour issues under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

With a legal background grounded in public service, Jonathan brings practical insight and disciplined judgment to his practice. A Colonel in the Georgia Air National Guard and former military attorney in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps, he also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, representing the federal government before the U.S. Magistrate Court for the Middle District of Georgia.

Jonathan frequently conducts management training on labor and employment law topics for corporate and government clients across the country. He has served in key leadership roles, including Chairman of the State Bar of Georgia’s Employers’ Duties & Problems Committee and Chair of the Executive Committee of the Georgia Department of Labor’s Georgia Employer Committee.

He is also deeply engaged in community service, having held leadership positions with Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia & the CSRA, Leadership Macon, and the Council on Alcohol and Drugs, a Georgia Chamber of Commerce affiliate.
