Overview

Brittany De Hoyos is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and is based in Dallas, Texas. She has extensive experience responding to data security incidents and applies her experience on a daily basis helping clients through the incident response process. As a member of our rapid response team, Brittany assists clients respond to a variety of cyberattacks including system intrusions, business email compromises, ransomware and other extortionate attacks. She also helps clients implement best practices in incident response, including deployment of appropriate security controls and compliance with state and federal, contractual, and industry-specific notification obligations.

Prior to joining the Constangy Cyber Team, Brittany provided incident response services at another firm for three years. During that time she facilitated digital forensics investigations, crisis communications services and compliance with regulatory notification obligations.

Brittany earned her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and was a recipient of the Derrick A. Bell Student Fellowship. While in law school, she served in data privacy internships for a global retailer and a software developer. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, Magna Cum Laude, from Wichita State University where she also obtained a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and served as Vice President of the Criminal Justice Student Association. Brittany also earned a Master of Arts degree in Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.  Brittany is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Texas, and she holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
