Reminder: February 14, 2024, is the deadline under California AB 1076 for employers with employees in California who are subject to noncompetition provisions to provide “individualized” written notice that the noncompetition clause or agreement is void – and the employees (or former employees if still under a post-employment noncompete restriction) must actually receive the notice by 2/14. Failure to provide notice is subject to a penalty of $2500 per violation - AB 1076 is not something to be ignored.

If you need help figuring out whether notice is required with your California employees or want assistance in drafting the notice, we are here to help you.
